Step-by-Step
1
Pick your shadeThe N and W stand for ‘neutral’ and ‘warm’ undertone. One way to determine your skin’s undertone is to look at the inside of your wrist. If your veins appear to have a blue or deep purple tint, you likely have cool skin undertones and should choose an ‘N’ shade. If they look more greenish, you likely have warm or olive undertones and you should choose a ‘W’ shade. If you can't tell one way or the other, you may have neutral undertones and should choose ‘N.’
2
Lighter or Darker?Opt for a shade lighter than your skin tone to illuminate and uplift. Alternatively, choose a shade darker for sculpting and defining.
3
