Unlike most fats, your body cannot produce Omega-3 and Omega-6 so they need to be supplied by our diet. Bestow Beauty Oil is a blend of organic, unrefined, extra virgin oils cold-pressed from flax and safflower seeds, to provide you with a rich source of these EFAs. 

What can it do for your skin? EFAs moisturise your skin from within. Your topical moisturiser can only penetrate so far, whereas the EFAs moisturise the deepest layers of your skin. In addition, as your skin cells move up through the layers toward your skin’s surface, they carry the moisturising, protective effect of the EFAs with them. EFA’s improve the barrier function of your skin helping to protect the deeper more vulnerable layers from environmental threats that speed the ageing process. 

They keep your skin supple and smooth and help maintain the hydration of your skin. When rich in EFAs, the oil that naturally makes its way onto the surface of the skin forms a healing, anti-inflammatory, protective outer layer for your skin. EFAs helps prevent skin congestion and ‘breakouts’ and can even help dissolve existing blockages as long as your client reduces their intake of congesting foods  

They help make cell walls more permeable, ensuring nutrients can be absorbed and waste removed. This gives your skin a greater vitality. EFAs play a vital role in the treatment of all skin problems ranging from acne to increased sensitivity, from over oiliness to excessive dryness. 

Other beautifying actions of EFAs: EFAs help make hair and nails visibly stronger and healthier and promote faster growth. They can lessen the incidence of ingrown hairs due to smoother, suppler follicles. They help us lose weight by reducing fat production in the body and increasing fat burning and heat production. They help the body shift from burning glucose to burning fat.

Will it make my skin oily?  No, it is not capable of increasing the oil flow of your skin’s oil glands. What it does do is ensure that the oil produced by your skin glands is protective, healing and not as likely to congest the skin or to block pores. 

Will it help if I have blackheads?  If your skin is prone to being oily, greasy or more inclined to block in the pores, this can be due to a diet high in saturated fats (see page 43 for a list of congesting foods) or a lack of essential fatty acids. By taking EFAs and reducing your intake of congesting foods, you can correct this imbalance and have beautiful, smooth skin once again.

What if I have skin problems?  A lack of EFAs in the body is the main cause of most skin conditions. If the body’s intake of EFAs is not adequate it will use inferior fats to build the skin cells. These skin cells can then be susceptible to toxins and irritants in the environment such as pollen, soaps, foods and various chemical allergens.

Will I put on weight? Fats fulfil many important functions in our bodies and we cannot survive without them. Fats are blamed for many health problems, but it is now clear that this is a dangerous over-simplification. Some fats are healthy; others are unhealthy. Bestow Beauty Oil contains Omega-3 essential fatty acids that actually help you to keep slim by increasing your metabolic rate. This helps you burn body fat more rapidly and gives you more energy. Another way in which Omega-3 fatty acids can assist with weight loss is that they can help your kidneys to get rid of excess water retained in body tissues.

How long before I can see a difference? It can take between six and eight weeks to see a change in your skin, depending on your current intake of EFAs. EFAs not only promote beautiful skin, but also protect against disease and sustain health and wellbeing through regular use. How to take care of your Bestow Beauty Oil: The EFAs in Bestow Beauty Oil are sensitive to light, air (oxygen) and heat. This is why they have been pressed and packaged with care so you can be confident your oil is the best quality possible. Once you’ve opened your bottle, store in your refrigerator and use within six weeks. If you cannot consume it within six weeks you can place it in the freezer to extend its shelf life.
