How It Works

Potential Side Effects of Blue Light Therapy:

1. Skin Dryness or Irritation: Blue light can reduce sebum production, which may lead to temporary dryness or irritation, especially in individuals with already dry or sensitive skin.

2. Redness or Mild Swelling: After treatment, some individuals may notice redness or slight swelling, which typically resolves within a few hours.

3. Increased Sensitivity: Blue light may make the skin temporarily more sensitive, especially if combined with exfoliating or active skincare ingredients (e.g., retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs).

4. Initial Breakouts (Purging): Some people experience an initial breakout or purging phase as blue light works to kill bacteria and bring underlying impurities to the surface.

5. Photosensitivity: Individuals taking photosensitising medications (e.g., antibiotics, isotretinoin, or certain antidepressants) may experience heightened sensitivity to blue light, leading to irritation or, in rare cases, burns or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

6. Hyperpigmentation Risk: For those with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI), there is a small risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if blue light is overused or if the skin reacts strongly. This will fade but can last up to 6 weeks.

Step-by-Step

Step 1We recommend a course of treatments: 10-minute treatments per week for 6 weeks. Once the initial series is complete, use Omnilux CLEAR at the earliest signs of a breakout.

Step 2Charge your controller & then connect it to the device. On cleansed skin, secure the device to your head using the velcro straps and press to start the 10-minute treatment

Step 3Remove the mask and apply your serum and moisturiser to skin. Gently wipe down the mask

DO NOT BUY!

LED lights were extremely bright they burned my eyes. Even after I bought blackout goggles from a specialised store it was still so strong that it hurt my eyes and gave me a migraine. Do not buy from slimmest because if you had this experience from Omnilux at least their customer support will help you and you can return it, instead I’ve spent $500 on a product I only ‘used’ twice and can never use again nor return!

Should be purchased in consulatiobn.

I would definitely recommend purchasing this product in consultation with the team, especially if you are a person of colour, or suffer hyper-pigmentation.

I bought it without consultation and it left hyperpigmentation marks all over my face. It has taken almost three weeks to completely clear. Unfortunately, I was unable to use it in fear of permanent marks.

Highly recommend speaking with the staff before purchasing, as the device cannot be returned once opened.

My daughters skin is so much better

After my daughter borrowed my Omnilux Mask a few times. Her acne and inflammation reduced considerably. so I ordered a Clear for her and it has been amazing.
