This cleanser is part of Dermalogica’s AGE Smart range and contains lactic acid, an active ingredient that works to exfoliate and resurface the skin for a smoother, more refined texture. Because of its potency, it’s best suited for skin that is accustomed to exfoliating actives and should be introduced gradually into your routine to avoid irritation.
For anyone new to this type of cleanser, we recommend starting by mixing it with a small amount of water to dilute the strength slightly. Use it just 2–3 times per week initially, then build up as your skin adjusts. It's also important to avoid combining it with other exfoliating products or actives (like retinol or vitamin C) in the same routine during the introductory phase.
