What Sunscreen is Best For Me?

We all know the importance of wearing sunscreen every single day.

We need to protect ourselves from Skin Cancer, Skin Damage and Premature Skin Ageing. Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. https://www.wcrf.org/dietandcancer/cancer-trends/skin-cancer-statistics So sunscreen has to become a part of our daily routine, if it isn’t already!

There are two types of Sun Protection

Physical sunscreens sit on the surface of the skin and block and scatter UV rays. They do this via mineral filters, the most common of which are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. These types of sun protectors work instantly once applied.

Chemical sunscreens absorb into the skin and then absorbs UV rays, converts the rays into heat, and releases them from the body. The active ingredients in chemical sunscreens include avobenzone, octinoxate and oxybenzone. These types of protectors need 20 minutes on the skin before they are effective.

What type of SPF should I use?

When it comes to choosing a sunscreen it is important to assess your skin. Sun protection is definitely not a "one size fits all". Choose according to your skin type & concern.

Mesoestetic is one of the leading brands when it comes to Sun Protection. They have specially designed an extensive range of products to suit many skin types. Below are their targeted Sun Protection Products.
