Get Skin Fit for the Olympics with Sari

The start of the Olympics is always an exciting and inspiring time of year, that brings the world together around this special event - this year to be held in Tokyo.

In the current climate, after all we've been through collectively in this past year, I think there was never a time we needed the Olympics more!

I know the Olympics hold a different meaning for everyone... So I asked my niece and nephews what do the Olympics mean to them?

My nephew Brodie, who is 11 replied "Good athletes make it to the Olympics"

My nephew Tai, who is 10 replied "Is hard"

My niece who is 4 replied "What Olympics"

My other nephew, who is also 11-years-old, replied "The Olympics to me is bringing the world together to have fun and be as one"

Olympics

For this Olympics, I thought I'd compile a list of fun skin fitness tips for you to do while you are watching the Olympics from home:

#1 Apply a face mask while you are watching a running event like a marathon a long-distance running event.

One of my favourite masks is Dermalogica's Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask - this mask will infuse a cocktail of vitamins on the skin to improve and relax stressed, dry skin, and it's also great for the prevention of premature skin ageing.

Another option is the Cosmedix Detox Mask, with charcoal clay to absorb all impurities from the skin to leave a more clear, fresh skin for the oily skin types.

#2 Apply a home chemical peel for the track cycling sporting event!

My favourite at-home chemical peel is Dermalogica's Rapid Reveal Peel - it contains a hydrating lactic acid to reveal a more radiant glowing skin. Great for all skin types!

If you have a more oily, congested skin type though, what I would recommend is the Mesoestetics Resurfacing Peel Booster which eliminates impurities and dead skin cells, normalising the excess of sebum with glycolic and salicylic acid and is also great to target ageing.

Apply a sheet mask in the swimming events or diving events to instantly infuse serums into the skin for instant hydration, brightening, calming, or prevention of ageing. My favourite sheet mask is Cosmedix Micro Defense Microbiome Sheet Mask.

#4 Crack open a specialised Skin Ampoule from Mesoestetic in the shooting event!

My favourite Mesoestetic Ampoule is Mesoestetic Proteoglycans Ampoules for dry, mature, or devitalised skin, which nourishes and firms the skin and combats the signs of ageing.

#5 For the event of acrobatic gymnastics, use your Lightstim device! Either Lightstim for Wrinkles or Lightstim for Acne and change each section when you see a new gymnast perform!

The Olympics are a powerful and compelling way to bring everyone together to support and cheerour Australian team and also our competing countries!

The Skinmart team wishes the Australian Olympic team good luck!
