Hand Sanitisers: Are They Really All The Same?

I could've never predicted that I would be sitting here now writing about this topic. But here we are, in these strange times where hand sanitisation can save lives.

While washing the hands with warm soapy water is the number one step in the fight against spreading germs, there are so many times when we are not able to do this, so in steps the hand sanitiser!

I have been doing quite a bit of research into this topic and discovered that all hand sanitisers are far from the same.

You might be thinking "It's a hand sanitiser, what could be the difference between them?"

Well, truth is, there are so many hand sanitiser purely alcohol-based that our hands end up dry, irritated and cracked - especially in winter, when our skin tends to get dehydrated anyway.

That would then lead to bacteria being able to penetrate through the impaired barrier on the skin.

The three options of hand sanitiser I'd recommend containing ingredients to hydrate and prevent dryness whilst keeping you safe are:

#1 Hunter Lab 24H Hand Sanitiser

Unlike traditional alcohol-based hand sanitisers that provide a flash kill of bacteria for up to 1 minute, the patented Fresche technology in the formula forms a protective film across skins surface to continually eliminate bacteria for up to 24-hours from the application. It kills 99.99% of bacteria and provides a barrier to protect hands with an electrostatic charge without alcohol.

#2 Need Beauty

This formula is infused with aloe extract and hyaluronic acid, making it gentle for the skin.

So this hand sanitiser is gentle on the hands and is effective! It kills 99.9% of germs and is ideal for use in the home, workplace or on-the-go.

#3 ASAP Sanitise Me

This is a non-drying formula to effectively cleanse + sanitise the hands. It is developed with refreshing lemongrass essential oil to protect & nourish the skin. It provides an effective barrier against microbes with a unique formula.

Apply into clean, dry hands and rub together vigorously. Allow to dry. Dosage: Between one and two sprays should be sufficient depending on the area. Once applied, 24hr Hand Sanitiser stays active, even after washing hands
