Can I buy Skincare from the Chemist or Supermarket?

A burning question in the world of Skincare & Beauty! Why can I not get my skincare from the Chemist? Isn’t it all the same? Well, the answer lies in knowing the difference between Cosmetics and Cosmeceutical skincare.

What are Cosmetics?

Cosmetics are products bought in chemists, supermarkets and also most brands that are sold in department stores.

These products have a small number of active ingredients , unfortunately not enough to penetrate the skin or have any benefit.

They might feel good and smell good but have no real purpose and may even irritate the skin. They are expensive because you are paying for the "brand name." They may hydrate and protect your skin for an hour or two, but that's about it.

What are Cosmeceuticals?

A Cosmeceutical is a product with a high percentage of active ingredients present in its formula.

The ability of the product to penetrate the skin is higher than the Cosmetic products due to its delivery system, that allows the skin to absorb the essential ingredients deep down into its layers, where they can be most effective and beneficial to address particular skin concerns.

Cosmeceutical products are all toxic-free and contain safe active ingredients and plant-derived vitamins. They are purchased through skincare professionals who are trained in results-driven skincare & ingredients.
