5 Tips to prepare your skin for winter

Let’s face it, days are getting shorter and nights getting colder - winter is coming. As you start to switch your wardrobe, it is also time to do the same with your skincare. There is no denying that in winter our skin suffers. While cooler temperatures and wind contribute to dull, dry and dehydrated skin, escaping to the warmth inside is just as bad, if not worse. All that heating (if you’re like me, the heater becomes your best friend) day and night creates a dry heat which means less moisture in the air and therefore our skin loses more moisture than usual.

While we can’t stop winter from coming, we can take some extra care to keep our skin looking healthy, soft, supple and glowy. So here are my 5 top tips to prepare your skin for winter.





#Bump up your moisturiser.


One of the easiest things you can do this winter is up your moisturiser formulation. Look for hydrating and healing properties such as hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, botanical extracts, lipid rich oils and shea butter.

#Avoid hot showers.
